What a few weeks it has been! Our Labour members and candidates for the Tithe Farm and Parkside by-elections have thoroughly enjoyed the many conversations we've had on the doorsteps across the town, and discussing the priorities residents have for the future. In Tithe Farm, we're delighted to announce that Chris Slough has been voted by residents to represent them on Houghton Regis Town Council. We would like to thank Brendan Gilmartin and the Liberal Democrats for what was a hard and fairly fought election.
In Parkside, Elaine Cooper, Liberal Democrats, has been elected to represent this ward. Again, we would like to congratulate them on what was a hard and fairly fought campaign. Many commiserations to Rigerta Ahmetaj, our candidate for Parkside, as she has worked so hard during this by-election. We know that Rigerta will continue to work hard for the town she works every day in.
