Council can't afford another £5m for Houghton Regis sports hall

Another disappointing decision made by Central Bedfordshire Council at Sustainable Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee on Thursday. Despite concerns pleas raised by Houghton Regis' Town Clerk, HR East Cllrs Chloe Alderman, Tracey MaMahon, and Pat Hamill, and Dunstable North Cllr Matt Brennan.

The committee concluded that the issues raised were "operational", with the Chair asking Cllrs to come back to the committee in 6 months if the issues had not been resolved, "with evidence".
