Chloe's Pledge 3 - Ensure YOUR Money Is Spent On What YOU Want!

Over the next few days we will hear all about Chloe’s five pledges. As your CBC councillor, Chloe is passionate about being a voice for you, and if elected to HRTC will use her positions on both councils to make sure that resident’s wishes do not go ignored.

Chloe’s pledges to all Parkside residents will be acted on when elected. Pledge 3 - To ensure YOUR money is spent on what YOU want - I will listen to you instead of making assumptions.

“No matter their background and how long they've been elected, Councillors should not make assumptions about what residents want - that's when mistakes start happening.”

There is nothing more frustrating than someone assuming they know what you're thinking, especially when it comes to spending your taxes. Your thoughts and wants are unique to you, and are different from both your neighbour and someone living two streets up. This is why Chloe believes that listening to residents rather than making assumptions, is hugely important. This can be done through consultations and community engagement events. Councillors should never abuse their position to get what they personally want enacted. To do so would be a betrayal of the electorate. Chloe is committed to seeing Parkside's views represented and respected.

It makes sense: Vote Labour on Thursday 21st March.
